GTA: Ranked from best to worst

by Gaming Adicts

Since the first Grand Theft Auto game emerged nearly twenty years ago, the GTA series has ruled the game market. GTA has grown from its humble beginnings to become a well-known brand. Every time a new game comes out, it becomes a big deal that goes beyond the video game industry and is talked about in the news.

Some people love how the series makes fun of the cities it’s based on and American culture as a whole, while others think it hurts the morals of today’s youth and is just a way to practice killing. No matter what, you can’t argue that GTA games aren’t always the best. They are made to a level that other video game makers can only hope to reach. But just like any other video game series, not every game is the same. Each entry is compared to the ones that came before it and, later, to the ones that came after it.

Some of the best games of the last 20 years have been in the GTA series, but the question of which is the best game keeps coming up. From the Californian sprawl of GTA 5 to the neon lights of Vice City, we’ve driven down memory lane and run over pedestrians to come up with this list of the best GTA games, from best to worst.

Grand Theft Auto 5

Grand Theft Auto 5 is an open-world action-adventure game with a tonne of stuff to do. It’s the best game in the series, and players should definitely check it out. In Grand Theft Auto 5, players go back to San Andreas, but this time they play as three different characters who are all part of the same story. Grand Theft Auto 5 is a big game with lots of different things to do, like golf, darts, going to an amusement park, tennis, and more. The game cost more than $250 million to make, and it was done so well that many people still play it years after it came out.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

People often compare Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, both of which came out in the early 2000s. Even though Vice City is a cute little town, San Andreas is better because it is bigger. The game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is set in the late 1980s and early 1990s when gangsta rap was popular.

As the main character Carl Johnson, players are thrown into a world full of options. The game has a system that lets you improve your character by doing things like riding a bike or working out. The game also has airports with planes that can be flown. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas lets players swim underwater, so they no longer have to drown when they touch the water.

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, players play as Tommy Vercetti, who goes from being poor to rich. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City feels like Miami because it has an airport, marinas, and a taxi company. The game was more fun to play because you could buy money-making businesses.

The shopping mall is one thing that makes Grand Theft Auto: Vice City stand out. The next Grand Theft Auto game should have a shopping mall that is even more interactive. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City has a lot to keep you busy. You can deliver pizzas, take the law into your own hands during “vigilante missions,” or look for stunt jumps around the city.

Grand Theft Auto IV

In Grand Theft Auto 4, the action takes place in Liberty City, which is a made-up version of New York City. This time, players are put in Niko Bellic’s place. As a Yugoslavian immigrant, he plans to get back at two people who betrayed him during the Wars. Grand Theft Auto 4 stands out because of how much it looks like New York City, how interesting its story is, and how it lets you go on dates.

Its driving is more like real life than like an arcade game. Some people said the driving was too real, but that won’t stop many people from playing it again.

Grand Theft Auto 3

When it came out, the first Grand Theft Auto game in 3D was way ahead of its time. Grand Theft Auto got a name and a face when you played as Claude. This made the series more memorable. Grand Theft Auto 3 was a huge step forward for the series. Without it, the other games would not be where they are now.

Vehicles like the Banshee, Cheetah, Infernus, and Stinger were added to Grand Theft Auto 3. These vehicles showed up in more than one Grand Theft Auto game.

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars

Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars has to be the best spinoff game from Grand Theft Auto. Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is available for Android, Nintendo DS, PSP, iOS, and Fire OS. As you play it, it gets more fun.

The top-down view of Chinatown Wars is similar to that of the first two Grand Theft Auto games, but the experience is deeper. In Chinatown Wars, the most GTA-like thing you can do is destroy everything in your path.

Grand Theft Auto 2

People love Grand Theft Auto 2 because the police chases, weapons, driving, locations, and camera have all gotten better. The original had a shaky camera that got in the way of all the chaos in Anywhere City. The sequel was a huge improvement over the first one in every way.

The cars are going faster than ever, and the police are tougher than ever. This game’s action is really exciting, and it’s not just about driving cars. Grand Theft Auto 2 is more like Grand Theft Auto III than it is like Grand Theft Auto, which is why it is more popular with a wider range of people. You can’t miss this classic game.

Grand Theft Auto

The game that started it all was hard to drive in because the controls were hard to use, but it was still fun. The fact that you could get into any car made Grand Theft Auto popular and laid the groundwork for this franchise to take over the gaming world in a few years.

Driving recklessly through intersections and crashing into other cars was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done. This game with a top-down view was the start of what would become one of the most popular video game series of all time.
